I Think I Just Started a BLOG

I'm sitting here updating my website and then this PAGE shows up with a tutorial on blogging. Ummmm ok. I click the link and start reading...but the minute I go to the next page of the tutorial, this page saves itself and publishes. YIKES. It's one thing to want to start a blog. It's a different story at 2:00 am when you thought you were just learning about blogging. I think this is it. I think I'll have to actually do this blogging thing.

This is me

I'm not into having my picture taken, so I couldn't wait to get out of this photo shoot. Everyone was wonderful, but I didn't like my hair (curls/waves?). Or my makeup (way too dark for me). I was out of my element and felt uncomfortable in my skin. I don't like doing the fake smile 90 times in less than 5 minutes...which is funny because I smile all the time. I absolutely LOVE my dress and I'll confess now to being a consignment shop junkie. I love the thought of saving $300...

I guess I should start with who I am: My name is Crystal Cobert and I'm a licensed esthetician in Saratoga Springs, New York. I have an organic skin therapy studio that I christened FACES on Beekman Street. It's an eclectic little studio where I give everyone customized treatments for their skin. We drink tea or sparkling water, try to figure out what's happening to your skin and then we get to work. I specialize in acne and balancing out skin issues which is why I say I offer skin therapy sessions instead of spa facials.

Skin Therapy vs Spa Therapy

There are spa facials and there are skin therapy facials. I don't spend a lot of time massaging your arms and hands. I spend almost all of our time together working on the health of your skin. That's probably the biggest difference. Don't get me wrong, a spa facial is very relaxing and you're going to feel very mellow when you leave. A skin therapy facial isn't as relaxing, but your skin is going to GLOW. It will be the smoothest it's been since you were 8 years old and your results are going to last 2-3 weeks.

Now that it's almost 2:30 am...I think I should go to bed.

Good night,
